Article 5: Development Standards Section 5.13. Screening 5.13.3. Location and Screening of Commercial Containers

Any location that blocks vehicular, bicycle, or pedestrian traffic;

Any location that interferes with utility lines or facilities; and

Any location where runoff from the container could flow directly into a stormwater drainage system or a water body.

C. Screening of Commercial Containers

Commercial containers shall be screened on three sides by a durable, sight-obscuring wall, and enclosed on the fourth side by an opaque, secured gate. If a container is one regularly accessed by pedestrians, the required screening walls shall include an opening at least three feet wide for pedestrian access. This pedestrian opening shall be screened from view by an ā€œLā€- shaped extension of a screening wall or a secured metal door. (See Figure 5.13.3.C.2: Screening of Commercial Container with Pedestrian Access.) The height of the screening walls and the gate shall be at least six inches higher than the height of the container.
