Appointment of new executive secretary The International Tube Association – the world’s largest and most influential personal membership association for the tube and pipe industries – has appointed Dipl-Ing Peter Byroslawsky as its new executive secretary.

Peter Byroslawsky

Mr Byroslawsky has more than 40 years’ experience in the tube and pipe industry and subsequently gained many years’ experience in sales and marketing departments. Prior to becoming a consultant in 2009, he enjoyed a long career with Mannesmann Demag AG, latterly employed as general manager of the worldwide central marketing department for SMS Meer GmbH, Germany. Peter has experience in planning of national and international fair participation, including stand in European design media, classic presswork, and social media activities. Anyone who has worked with the aluminium tube as a packaging material knows that it satisfies the most exacting requirements, yet it also makes high demands of the designer in terms of styling and creativity. Unfortunately, in many cases this is one reason why materials other than the aluminium tube are chosen, although the excellent properties of aluminium offer outstanding functionality in the areas of hygiene, product protection, convenience and recyclability. Despite the excellent characteristics of the aluminium tube and the unique look and feel of this packaging material, the opportunities it offers in terms of design and styling have by no means been exhausted.
