Indications Allergic reaction, severe asthma Patients < 30 kg (< 66 lbs)

Adult Dose Do not use.

Pediatric Dose 1 Autoinjector (0.15 mg epinephrine) IM

Contraindications Known hypersensitivity

Adverse Reactions Anxiety, headache, fear, and palpitations. Repeated injections can result in necrosis at injection sites.

Precautions May be used with asthma in severe cases that show no hope for improvement with other bronchodilators.

Considerations Hold autoinjector against site for 10 seconds to ensure delivery of the medication Only inject into anterolateral aspect of the thigh (vastus lateralis). Do not inject into the buttock or intravenously.
