Chapter 27 Overcoming Evil

Jesus promised to return someday. Until then, we live in a world where evil still exists. Satan continues to lead his rebel- lion against God, but he does so as a defeated enemy because Jesus ultimately conquered Satan and death by His resurrec- tion from the grave. Though Satan and his demons continue to cause havoc in this world, we have the comfort of knowing that greater is Jesus, who now lives as righteousness in us, than Satan who is still trying to destroy the world. We can daily prepare ourselves for the fight against Satan, by seeking God in prayer and the study of God’s Word. With the power of the Holy Spirit in us, we can resist the evil in this world.
