Chapter 19 Jesus Teaches About Life In His Kingdom (AD 27)

Jesus had a powerful teaching ministry. He taught that God’s Kingdom laws were much different than the laws of other kingdoms with which people were familiar. Jesus was not concerned about people’s money or status or ability to uphold religious laws. Instead, He wanted His fol- lowers to have a heartfelt desire to follow the new Kingdom laws of love, mercy, peacemaking and self-sacrifice. He taught that living this way would bring the greatest re- ward in the Kingdom of Heaven.
