Mr. FitzGerald was a member of the Council of the Society from 1884 to 1906, and filled the office of President of the Society in 1892- 93. MR. JAMES E. PROCTOR, Solicitor, Limavady, died on the 30th October, 1913, at his residence, Tullydoey. Moy, Co. Tyrone. Mr. Proctor, who served his apprenticeship with the late Mr. William B. Proctor, New- townlimavady, was admitted in Michaelmas Term, 1876, and practised at Limavady. Ballot for Election of Council. THE ballot for the election of the Council will take place in the Secretary's Office between the hours of eleven o'clock a.m. and one o'clock, p.m., on Friday the 21st day of November, 1913. Ballot papers returned by post should be posted so as to reach the Secretary not later than one o'clock p.m. on Friday, tire 21st clay of November, 1913. General Meeting of the Society. THE Half-yearly General Meeting of the Members of the Society will be held in the Hall of the Society, Solicitor's .Buildings, Four Courts, on Wednesday, the 26th day of November, 1913, at two o'clock p.m. The Report of the outgoing Council will be submitted for adoption. Legal Appointment. Mr. Robert H. Todd, Crown Solicitor for the County of Londonderry and the City of Londonderry, has been appointed to the combined Office of Crown Solicitor and Sessional Crown Solicitor for the said County and City. Obituary. MR. JOSEPH P. MANNION, Solicitor, Swinford, died upon the 12th August, 1913, at Dublin. Mr. Mannion, who served his apprentice ship with the late Sir William Findlater, 35 Up. Ormond Quay, Dublin, was admitted in Trinity Term, 1877, and practised at Swinford Co. Mayo. MR. WILLIAM M. BYRNE, Solicitor, Caiiow, died upon the 21st August, 1913, at Carlow. Mr. Byrne, who served his apprenticeship with the late Mr. Charles Thorp. Bagnalstown, was admitted in Trinity Sittings, 1886, and practised at Carlow. MR. EDWARD O'R. DICKEY, Solicitor, Belfast, died upon the 24th August, 1913, at Bally- castle. Mr. Dickey, who served his apprenticeship with the late Mr. Daniel O'Rorke, of 14 Donegall Street, Belfast, was admitted in Michaelmas Term, 1865, and practised at Belfast (for some time in partnership with Mr. Frederick A. Cunningham, who retired from practice), under the style of Cunningham and Dickey. The business is now being carried on by Mr. Robert Marshall. MR. JOHN S. McTEAR, Solicitor, died upon the 7th September, 1913, at Bangor, Co. Down. Mr. McTear, who served his apprenticeship with the late Mr. G. K. Smith, Belfast, was admitted in Trinity Term, 1865, and practised (formerly in partnership with Mr. Smith) at Belfast, under the style of Smith and McTear. MR. EDWARD FITZGERALD, Solicitor, died on the 27th October, 1913, at his residence, Khyber Pass, Dalkey, County Dublin. Mr. FitzGerald, who served his apprentice ship with his father, the late Mr. Thomas FitzGerald, 20 St. Andrew Street, Dublin, was admitted in Hilary Term, 1874, and was a member of the firm of Messrs. D. and T. FitzGerald, who practise at No. 20 St. Andrew Street, Dublin.
