BLOOD, Solicitor, died upon the 16th February, 1914, at his residence, 40 'Villiers Road, Rathgar, County Dublin- Mr. Blood served his apprenticeship with the late Sir William Findlater, 53 Dame Street, Dublin, was admitted in Michael mas Term, 1867, and was a partner in the firm of Messrs. William Findlater & Co., 53 Dame Street, Dublin. MR. THOMAS R. BAILLIE-GAGE', I.S.O., Solicitor, died upon the 19th February, 1914, at his residence, Lansdowne Lodge, Dublin. Mr. Baillie-Gage served his apprenticeship with the late Mr. Samuel F. Adair, 25 Clare Street, Dublin, and was admitted in Easter Term, 1870. In the year 1874 Mr. Baillie-Gage was appointed Solicitor to the General Post Office, which office he'held up to the year 1907, when he retired. He was a member of the Council of the Society from 1881 to 1887. New Members. THE following joined the Society during February, 1914 :—

Certificates. Applications by two Solicitors for renewal of their annual certificates were considered, and orders were made in the two cases. Law Clerk. A report from the Court of Examiners upon an application by a Law Clerk for leave to be bound under Section 16 was submitted, and the application was granted. Council Meetings. MEETINGS of the Council will be held upon the following dates :— April 22nd. May 6th and 20th.

Hilary and Easter Sittings, 1914. HILARY Sittings will terminate on Thursday, 2nd April. Easter Sittings will commence on Thursday, 16th April, and will terminate on Wednesday, 20th May. Golf Competition for Solicitors. Competitions open to any Solicitor on the Roll of Irish Solicitors, who is a member of a recognised Golf Club, will be held, by the kind permission of the Portmarnock Golf Club, on Thursday, the 21st May, 1914, at the Portmarnock Links. It is proposed to hold a stroke competition (18 holes under handicap) in the morning, and a foursome competition (18 holes against bogey under handicap) in the afternoon. The President of the Society has kindly offered to present a Cup, to be won outright,
