Steps

Practice Data

1. Select the View tab.

The View ribbon appears.

2. In the Data group, select the Sort command. The Sort drop-down list appears.

3. Select the Sort by command. The Sort dialog box opens.

Click

4. Select the Sort by list.

Click Sort by

A list of available fields appears.

Scroll as necessary and click Type .

5. Select the field by which you want to sort. The field is selected. 6. In the Sort by section, select the Ascending or Descending option in the Sort by section. The Ascending or Descending option is selected. 7. Continue to select sort options as desired. The options are selected.

Click Descending .

Select the first Then by list and select the Name field and select Ascending , if necessary.

8. Select Sort .

Click

.

The view is sorted based on the selected criteria.

Notice that all work resources are listed first, followed by all material, then cost resources. Also notice that the types are sorted by name in ascending order.

Sort again by selecting the by ID command from the Sort submenu on the View ribbon.
