rate, type the number, such as 20 for $20 per yard, gallons, or some other unit. For example, if you entered Paint as a material resource and gallons in the Material Label field, the rate you enter in the Std. Rate field is the price per gallon of paint. Therefore, if you enter $10 in the Std. Rate field, the rate is $10 per gallon.

Assigning standard rates to work resources

NOTE By default, the Std. Rate field is formatted for currency. You can change the formatting in the Options dialog box. To open the dialog box, select File > Options > View

Procedures

1. Switch to the Resource Sheet view.

2. Select the Std. Rate field for the resource.

3. Enter the rate and if applicable, include a forward slash (/) and the unit.

4. Press [Enter] .

Step-by-Step

From the Student Data directory, open HOUSE9.MPP . Assign standard rates.

Before you begin, find out the cost of the project as currently planned. [ Project tab, Project Information icon (Properties Group), Statistics ] The cost of the project should be $50,264.
