Discussion

You may have resources with varying rates for different tasks or that require increases or decreases in their rates at certain points. Create resource rate tables to handle varying resource rates for both work resources and material resources.

Create up to five different cost rate tables containing up to 25 different sets of rates. In each table, enter initial rate information as well as rates effective on a certain date. You can also enter a percentage to represent an increase or decrease in the rate and Microsoft Project will calculate the new rate. Once the rate tables are created, assign rates to different tasks. To vary the resource rate for all tasks by date, you need to enter the dates and rates in the default rate table, which is table A.
