Lesson – Assigning Costs

Project 2016

A SSIGNING A R ESOURCE R ATE T ABLE

Discussion

Create different rate tables for both work and material resources. Assign rate tables to the desired tasks. For example, if a plumber receives $30.00 per hour for the initial plumbing and $25.00 per hour for the final plumbing, you can assign different rate tables to the two tasks or edit the base table and assign a different rate for the date the plumber is scheduled to do the final plumbing. Resource rate tables give you flexibility in assigning rates and tracking costs.

NOTE To vary the resource rate for all tasks by date, enter the dates and rates in the default rate table, which is table A.
