2. Select the Gantt Chart drop-down button. The Task View submenu appears.

3. Select the Tracking Gantt.

Select Tracking Gantt .

The Tracking Gantt view appears.

Select the first task and scroll to view the Gantt bars for the task. Scroll through the Gantt chart and notice that all the blue and red bars lay within the gray bars underneath.

Discussion

Generally you should never update the baseline unless authorized in writing. If it is necessary to update the baseline, you can update the project’s baseline. Updating the baseline for the entire project overwrites all the data in the current baseline with the new information.
