FONOSTOP DUO FONOSTOP DUO is an acoustic insulation product against foot-traffic noise for floors laid on floating screeds. It consists of a 1.5 mm thick phono-resilient foil, coupled to a nonwoven elastic fabric in polyester fibre, with a thickness of 6.5 mm. This highly efficient acoustic insulation against foot traffic noise is made up of the waterproofing and airtight phono-resistant foil lined with a film of polypropylene fibres coupled to a non-woven fabric. The insulation is produced in 10×1.05 m rolls and is provided with a 5 cm overlap fin without any non-woven polyester fabric. FONOSTOP DUO consists of resistant elastic synthetic fibres, which do not split and are not crushed when they are bent or compressed, as in the case of mineral fibres. FONOSTOP DUO, although it is a thin light insulating material, unlike sheets of plastic foam material, does not move when the screed is spread. This is thanks to the ‘Velcro effect’ of the lower face, which prevents it from moving, thus preventing “acoustic bridges” which could frustrate the insulating operations.
