Noteworthy: Team's top returning RBI leader with 16. A clutch-hitter, Jennifer is the team's projected clean-up hitter. Will also provide reli able defense at first base. 2003: Tallied six multi-hit games ... went 3-for-4 with 5 RBI against Eastern Kentucky in the second game of a double-header (3- 14-03) ... knocked in 2 RBI against Long Beach State and Portland State ... fin ished with .992 fielding percentage. 2002: Started 50 of 52 games she played in. Batted a team-best .284 with 42 hits, 8 doubles, and 13 RBI. Totaled nine multi-hit games with 4-for-4 outing against Saint Mary's, and a 3-for-4 game with 2 doub les and 4 RBI against Chapman. 2001: Appeared in 48 games with 46 starts. Batted .236 with 8 runs,
7 doubles, 2 triples, I homer and team-best 20 RBIs. Collected eight multi-hit games with best outing coming against BYU: 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs and 2 doubles. Belted a homer at UC San Diego (April 4th). Also pitched in 23 games with IO starts and 3 complete games. Had a record of 5-8 with a 3.28 ERA. Twice recorded six strikeouts (Portland State & UC Riverside). Selected team's Rookie of the Year and WISL All-Academic. Prep: Attended Peninsula High School and lettered in softball. Earned Athlete of the Year honors and Most Outstanding Pl ayer award in her senior campaign . In her junior season, she was named Best Offensive Player while batting .350. Delpit played travel softball for the Southern California Blazers.
Personal: Born in Northridge, CA on June 19, 1982. Parents are Sue and Larry Delpit. Jennifer was also recruited by Sienna College and Seton Hall University... Chose USO for its academics, location and softball program. History major.
