EN 13034: Protective Clothing against Liquid Chemicals Clothing offering protection against liquid chemicals, exposure to light spraying, vapour or low pressure, low quantity spraying. Suitable for work in environments where there may be a risk of chemical splashes where a total chemical barrier is not required. NFPA 701: Standard Methods of Fire Tests for Flame Propagation of Textiles and Films This test measures the flammability of fabric when it is exposed to specific sources of ignition. NFPA 701 (Small Scale) testing measures the ignition resistance of a fabric after it is exposed to a flame for 12 seconds. The flame, char length, and flaming residue are recorded. EN ISO 2047:2013: High visibility clothing EN ISO 20471:2013 is a revised version of EN 471. This is the minimum standard for high visibility clothing, which is capable of visually signal the user’s presence and specifies test methods and performance requirements for PPE worn in high risk situations.

EN 343: Protective clothing against rain Clothing certified to protect against precipitation caused by rain, snow, fog and ground humidity. The garment and the seams are not just tested for its water resistance, but also water vapour resistivity. EN 342: Protective clothing against cold environment Clothing certified to give the wearer protection against cold environment. Requirements are set on thermal insulation and air permeability. Resistance to water penetration is an optional requirement EN 343 EN 342

The vertical flame test is commonly used to measure and observe the response of materials to heat and flame under controlled conditions. ASTM D6413 is used to determine flame resistance of fabrics used to protect against both electric arc and flash fire hazards.
