Application - Adapter Plate for Class J Fuses The CR308X400A is a universal-type adapter plate with hardware for converting to Class J fuses in combination-type magnetic motor starters, NEMA Sizes 0-3. Clips in standard NEMA Size 4 starters can be repositioned to accept Class J fuses without extra hardware. The adapter can be used to convert standard 600-Volt fusible starters by providing for easy relocation of the fuse clips in the starters. For most applications, clip sizes for Class J fuses are the same as those for ordinary NEC fuses. The adapter can also be used to convert nonfusible starters by order- ing the proper clips for Type QMR switches. With Class J current-limiting fuses, the starters are rated at 100,000 Amperes rms symmetrical.
