Garden Leave

At any time after the Associate or the Company has given notice to the other to terminate the employment, the Company may require that during any such notice period or any part or parts of such notice period the Associate does not enter or attend the premises of the Company and that the Associate undertakes no work or duties for the Company (“Garden Leave”), and during any period of Garden Leave the Associate must not do any of the following without the prior written consent of the Company:-

(a)

undertake any work for any third party whether paid or unpaid and whether as an employee or otherwise;

(b)

have any contact or communication with any client, customer or supplier of the Company; or

(c)

have any contact or communication with any associate, Partner, Officer, agent or consultant of the Company

During any period of Garden Leave the Company may require the Associate to do any of the following:-

(a)

perform special projects or perform duties not within their normal duties or perform some but not all of their normal duties;

(b)

keep the Company informed of their whereabouts so that they can be contacted should the need arise for them to perform any such duties.

During any period of Garden Leave the Associate will remain an employee of the Company and their employment shall continue and the Associate is not entitled to become employed or engaged by any other company, partnership, person or entity in any capacity (whether paid or unpaid). The Associate will continue to be paid salary and be provided with contractual benefits during any period of Garden Leave in the usual way save that they will not be entitled to receive any bonus or commission during or in respect of such period.

ASSOCIATE DEVELOPMENT

Lockton's Associate Development function is dedicated to assisting Associates grow and develop in their chosen career path with Lockton. Its mission is to equip Associates with the skills needed to service the needs of Lockton’s clients and at the same time develop their skills and abilities to enable them to make the most of the career opportunities available to them .

Lockton has made the following commitments on Associate Development:

(a) Associates are and remain competent – Associates are trained to meet appropriate standards for the work they do and are encouraged to move beyond those standards to enhance their competence.

(b) Associates are appropriately supervised – work is monitored and checked by a competent Manager and personal development is encouraged.

(c) Associates competence is regularly reviewed – an annual Appraisal takes place between an Associate and Manager at which objectives are agreed.
