Employers Liability Insurance

The Group carries Employers Liability Insurance, as required by law. A certificate confirming the cover is held with the Facilities Division and displayed in communal areas.

9.7 Travel Insurance, Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) travel advice

Before booking a business trip Associates should check the status of FCO Travel guidance in a particular country. If on checking you establish that any area you are travelling to is subject to “Advise against all travel” or “Advise against all but essential travel” warnings, you must NOT book travel to that territory. If the warning level is “Advice against all but essential travel” and you believe that your trip is essential, you must get approval from both HR and your Business Unit head, plus discuss insurance coverage options with Risk & Compliance department BEFORE making any arrangements. If you book a business trip and subsequently FCO guidance changes, please contact Risk & Compliance department for further advice.

Provided that the FCO does not advise against travel, Associates are covered by our group travel insurance when on business outside the UK. The cover includes:

Medical and Travel Expenses

   

Personal Baggage Lost/stolen Money Personal Liability

This cover (but not Medical or Travel Expenses) also applies to business trips in the UK provided these involve air travel or an overnight stay. For further details please go to the relevant section of the Intranet. All Associates should also check other business travel guidance and requirements before they travel.

9.8

Smoking Policy

Lockton is responsible for the health, safety and welfare of its Associates at work and recognises that their wellbeing is important to our performance and success. The Company is therefore concerned that its Associates should be aware of the risks associated with smoking and, more importantly, to protect non-smokers from the risks to their health and discomfort caused by exposure to tobacco smoke. In view of these concerns, the Company has a No Smoking Policy, for all Associates whilst at work.  The policy includes a total ban on smoking on all Company premises, including the regional offices . Smoking is therefore not permitted in any working areas within Lockton premises, including private offices, common areas of the building including lifts, corridors, toilets, stairwells, reception, and meeting rooms

This also applies to E-cigarettes.
