Kronborg Castle the most beautiful renaissance building in the North, the name of which has become world-famed by tlie scene of Shakespeare’s Hamlet being laid here. The Castle was built in 1575—85 by Frede­ rik II, and has been of great importance as a fortress and in connection with the collecting of the Sound Toll.
