Commendation

Eligibility All members of the QFES workforce, paid and volunteer, are eligible for nomination for this award. In special circumstances this award may be issued to a person external to QFES. Certificate design The award is a certificate with a citation statement outlining the duty performed by the officer in relation to the actions being acknowledged. The certificate is signed and presented by the Commissioner/Assistant Commissioner or their designated delegate. Note: The Rural Fire Service logo will be updated as soon as current certificate stocks are depleted.

A in recognition of any member who performs specific or outstanding actions in relation to exemplary service or performance in a specific difficult or long-term project or task. A Commendation can be awarded as a: • Commissioner’s Commendation or • Assistant Commissioner’s Commendation. The Commendation is generally awarded when the situation merits higher or broader recognition. Commendation is awarded

QFES Honours and Awards

Nominations for Commissioner’s Commendation are to be made on an Executive Briefing Note (EBN) to the QFES Honours and Awards Committee with appropriate supporting documentation. The Committee will review the nomination and progress for consideration of the applicable Approving Officer. The final outcome of the nomination will be advised in due course.
