SES Week State Awards

The committee shall meet when required and upon request of the Chairperson. All nominations for applicable awards must be received by the committee within identified timeframes. Nominations for awards in this section are to be treated in a confidential manner. The Minister’s Cup The Minister’s Cup is an annual state level award SES Member of the Year. Winners of the Regional Member of the Year award are automatically nominated for the state level Minister’s Cup. Successful nominations are determined by the SES State Level Awards Committee. The Commissioner’s Cup The Commissioner’s Cup is the annual state level award for SES Unit/Group of the Year. Winners of the Regional Unit/Group of the Year Award are automatically nominated for the state level Director-General’s Cup. Successful nominations are determined by the SES State Level Awards Committee. The Assistant Commissioner’s Shield The Assistant Commissioner’s Shield is an annual state level award for Operational Response of the Year. Winners of the Regional Operational Response of the Year Award are automatically nominated for the state level Assistant Commissioner’ Shield. Successful nominations are determined by the SES State Level Awards Committee.

The SES Week Awards recognise SES members who have given a special contribution to the service. There are several awards related to SES Week (held annually in October) given

at both regional and state levels. SES Awards Committees Regional level

Each SES Region is to form a SES Regional Awards Committee consisting of: • SES staff • SES volunteers • An independent community member. This committee will determine the winners of the various SES Regional awards as listed below. Nominations for awards detailed in this section are to be treated in a confidential manner. State level The SES Awards Committee has been established to manage recommendations for the following: • The Minister’s Cup • The Commissioner’s Cup • The Assistant Commissioner’s Shield. The committee shall consist of: • Assistant Commissioner, SES – Chairperson • Executive Manager, SES Support Services • Manager, SES Volunteer Management • Independent community person (optional).
