Lime Tree Journal - April 2018
From the Manager s Desk
Hello again from Graham and Lesley. April is here already - we are moving into the 4 th month! Autumn is here, it’s really nice, especially after the heatwave conditions we went through recently. Wednesday the 4 th of April – to Sunday the 15 th April, is Seniors Week. There are some great community events coming up in April including a Seniors Week Special, the Coffs Harbour Air Show and the Coffs Harbour Show. All the details plus more is included in this edition of the Lime Tree Journal in the pages following. A big thank you to Phil for looking after the grounds and to Denise for taking care of the office while we are away. It’s good to know that everything is being taken care of for us while we are on holidays. We are travelling to New Zealand and will be visiting Milford Sound, The Bay of Islands and a couple of other stops along the way. We are cruising with Royal Carribean, who we haven’t cruised with before. The swimming pool season will be wrapping up with the arrival of the Anzac Day long weekend. The number of people using the pool has been fantastic and the positive feedback about how nice the pool is, has been overwhelming. Thank you very much for all the support given. Keep enjoying your swimming until the pool closes up on 26 th April. The pool will reopen again on the long weekend in October. Walking around the village, it’s nice to see all the beautiful gardens that people have. All the trees leaves (not tea leaves) will change colour now, with Autumn here. Also, with the change of season, I’m sure you will agree that the cooler weath- er, especially in the evening when sleeping, is a welcome change. I was wishing for it to cool down. Normally I prefer the hot weather but that was extreme. So glad we have a pool! Thank you to everyone for driving slowly, keeping to the 10km per hour speed limit, within the village. It’s also a good time to say thank you to all our pet owners, for keeping your furry friends leashed and picking up their droppings and disposing of them properly. Much appreciated. Thank you for reading and supporting the Lime Tree Journal. If there is anything that you would like to mention in the journal, or an up and coming event, please come into the office and let us know. We hope you all have a very happy Easter. Until next month……………..
