The Postgraduate Engineer Open Programme developed specifically to meet the demands of the construction industry will address the: knowledge, skills and behaviour requirements of the Postgraduate Engineer Degree Standard combining the Postgraduate Diploma in Engineering Competence (PgDip) with a range of other industry relevant courses to complete the competency requirements of the Apprenticeship.
Throughout the Apprenticeship, Cranfield will administer and monitor the portfolio and will organise the End Point Assessment for each Apprentice. All costs will be covered by the Apprenticeship Levy.
Developing your workforce The Postgraduate Engineer Apprenticeship is all about developing your engineers to be the leaders and managers of the future, helping to develop the skills and competencies required in these demanding sectors. The programme provides the opportunity to sponsor your early career employees; alternatively develop your current engineers, enhance their capability and put them on route to Chartered Engineer status. Who is it for? The course is ideally suited for companies large and small who want to accelerate the development and improve retention of their engineering management staff. All of these services will be funded from the Apprenticeship Levy for Levy paying companies and non Levy paying companies benefit from paying just 10% of the price of the programme. The funding band allocated to this course of £27,000 per apprentice per course. The programme is designed to support the organisation in achieving high quality capabilities as participants gain a blend of leading-edge engineering and management skills. The applied nature of the programme enables personalised, specific and organisationally aligned development. The course also offers the potential to progress to a full MSc to achieve Chartered Engineer Status (not within the Apprenticeship Levy).
