Programme details

The two-year part-time Open programme is offered in a modular format with classes delivered face to face (pending University approval) at Cranfield. The programme has been mapped against the Postgraduate Engineer Standard. The knowledge element of the apprenticeship is the PgDip Engineering Competence, this comprises of eight modules and culminates in a group project to apply the module content to a real workplace situation.


Additional modules, lectures and workshops including short courses on: Leadership in Construction, Regulatory Compliance and Big Data & Data Analysis; again these will be delivered at Cranfield by academics and industry experts to ensure compliance with the apprenticeship standard and the necessary competence criteria is met. During the two year course, everything from registration through to the End Point Assessment will be managed by Cranfield University reporting progress on a regular basis to the employer.
