A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 5 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Norway, with Fr. Timothy Ekaitis pre- siding. A luncheon for friends and family will follow the burial in the church hall. Memorial Contributions may be made to Holy Spirit Catholic School where her children and grandchildren attended. Interment will be held at Norway Township Cemetery. NORWAY- Donna Mae Pollard age 84 of Norway, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many went to be with her Lord, Saturday, October 29, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her family. Donna was born June 4, 1932 in Norway, daughter of the late Clarence and Mary (Paul) LaFreniere. She was a lifelong resident of Norway and graduated from Norway High School in 1950. Donna went on to receive her teaching certificate at Northern Michigan University, a Bachelor of Science in 1966 and later earned her Master of Arts in Education in 1970. Donna married Weldon Pollard on April 5, 1952 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Norway. They settled in Norway and raised four children. She was an elementary teacher for 34 years, working in Hermansville, Vulcan and Niagara Schools, retiring in 1993. Her love for her children and community involved her in 4-H Teen Leaders, St. Mary Church, Holy Spirit School, CCD, Relay for Life and other activities. NORWAY- Judith A. Bettiga age 74 of Norway, died Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Maryhill Manor in Niagara, WI. She was born on May 31, 1942 in South Range, the daughter of the late Fred and Edna (Elsila) Huotari.

Judy attended Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood and Bentley High School in Livonia through her junior year. She proudly achieved her high school diploma from Norway High School in 1983. Judy worked at Wal-Mart for over 10 years, and retired in 2005. She enjoyed going to her dear friend, Anita Wagner’s house and seeing her flower gardens, colorful sunsets, camping

MILWAUKEE- Andrew James Neeck age 36 of Milwaukee, died Saturday, November 5, 2016 in Milwaukee, WI. He was born on January 3, 1980 in Park Falls, WI the son of James and Maggie (Radlinger) Neeck. His family lived in Park Falls until 1985 when they moved to Vulcan, Michigan. Andrew attended Holy Spirit School, Norway High School and graduated from alternative education in Kingsford in 1999. He then attended Sturgeon Bay Tech School for diesel mechanic for 1 ½ years.

Andy worked at a young age for the Pellegrini Strawberry Farm and Justin Varda. He saved his money and started his own DJ business and later worked for the Music Tree as a DJ. He also worked at the Bears Den, Schultz Equipment, UP Truck and for Dave Anderson. He moved to Milwaukee, to be closer to his son in 2006 and worked at various diesel garages.
