RESEARCH AND TRAINING AT THE TRUMP INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE

New insights in the field of disabilities are being shared in Israel and abroad our research and professional training programs. By developing and disseminating knowledge globally, we have increased our professional partnerships and collaborations – all thanks to the tremendous support of the Trump family. Vocational Training Leading to Jobs

80% of students found employment after graduating from our vocational training program, which offers professional degrees in computer graphics, computerized warehousing, automation and robotics. Our partnership with Ruppin Academic Center continues to expand with an increased number of courses providing higher education opportunities and vocational training to young adults with learning disabilities. Courses Breaking New Ground in the Field of Disabilities Our new courses in 2012 have had tremendous impact, including: teaching caregivers to use cooking as a multi-sensory • therapeutic tool, in partnership with theWelfare Ministry reaching the ultra-Orthodox population with three • Inclusive University Program courses for Haredi young adults with learning disabilities a training seminar for doctors, directors of Child • Development Institutes and non-profit executives Bridging Cultural Gaps Through Joint Learning Groups To improve disabilities services for Israel’s Jewish and Arab communities, we piloted a landmark collaboration between senior Jewish and Arab disabilities professionals. This effort is dedicated to global dissemination of our culturally-sensitive work model for interventions in families of children with developmental disabilities. Publications: Sharing Best Practice Beit Issie Shapiro’s Dr Dana Roth, Ronen Cohen and Dr Shimshon Neikrug co-authored an article for the Journal of Social Work in Disability and Rehabilitation, presenting our youth leadership programs as a model for changing self-image and attitude towards people with disabilities. The Trump Institute’s Yael Yoshei co-authored two chapters in Rett Syndrome Therapeutic Interventions, outlining our model in Occupational Therapy intervention and trans- disciplinary play-based assessment.
