PC Users versus Clockers 9.1.1 PC users have a pre-populated schedule on their timesheet in Peoplesoft. 9.1.1.1 Adjustments are only made if an employee works overtime or offsets their schedule for the week. 9.1.2 Clockers have a day to day timesheet with in and out times. 9.2 Meal Periods 9.2.1 Lunch is automatically a part of their assigned schedule 9.2.2 If a clocker is scheduled from 6:30 am – 3 pm; there is a built-in lunch in which the system will deduct .50 for lunch from the total punch time 9.2.2.1 For example, the in/out times may appear to add up to 8.5 hours, but once lunch is deducted; payable time will show 8 hours. 9.2.2.2 Be sure to check payable time to see if the lunch was deducted properly. 9.2.3 If time is worked on the weekend, a lunch period must be manually entered if an employee works more than 8 hours. 9.2.3.1 In certain emergency situations, manually adding a lunch is not feasible because lunch typically cannot be taken: 9.2.3.1.1 Water Main Break 9.2.3.1.2 Sewer Main Break 9.2.3.1.3 Sewer Spills 9.2.3.2 Be sure to leave a comment should any of these emergencies occur. 9.2.4 If an employee works hours that are not within their assigned schedule, lunch will not be deducted properly. 9.2.5 If an employee is scheduled to work from 6:30 am – 3 pm, but a supervisor asks them to work from 3 pm -11:30 pm; lunch may not be deducted because it is a part of the employee’s assigned schedule, and therefore the punch times won’t match up. 9.3 Swiping in and swiping out 9.3.1 When employees clock in, there are clock in/clock/out button, as well as meal in/meal out buttons.
