Sick Leave – includes employee, family, FMLA, and bereavement of immediate family only; accrued 1 day per month by regular employees

Sick Death – comment must list family member Sick Family – comment must list family member Sick Injury – comment must list injury date

Additional Sick Leave – leave that is earned by regular full-time City employees once employed for a minimum of 8 years, and is used in the same manner as Regular Sick Leave, when no sick leave is left.

Extended Sick Leave – grandfathered option that was replaced by additional sick leave Vacation Leave – should be pre-planned; used for illness if all sick leave has been absorbed. Compensatory Leave – should be pre-planned and used during same week; cannot exceed 70 hours. Petty Leave – should be pre-planned; used for tardiness if approved by supervisor, but employee cannot use more than four hours of petty leave in any one day. Voluntary Donation of Leave – employee must be on an extended leave (FMLA) and complete a request for leave donation; must be approved by supervisor, department head, and HR director before sent to employees (Reference: 2.04PO1.5210) School Parental Involvement Leave – unpaid leave Other Leave Administrative leave – an employee that has been placed on paid leave must be approved by HR. Authorized Absence Leave – unpaid approved leave; employees who have not accrued leave but had preplanned vacations. Civil Leave – paid leave; if employee is called for federal duty (witness a plane crash, federal witness) Education Leave – can be paid or unpaid Jury Duty – leave with pay for employee called to jury duty. Suspension – unpaid; issued by supervisor and superintendent due to disciplinary action of employee Unauthorized Absence –when leave policies are not followed; 3 consecutive absences are considered a resignation; 3 absences within a 3 month period, a change of anniversary date will occur. CMPPY- comp time pay out to employees that reach 70hrs max during the payperiod (this is paid at regular rate due to the system calculates 1.5 (if met overtime rule physically worked 40hrs in workweek and non-exempt) OTST- overtime pay at regular hourly rate OT- overtime pay at 1.5 hourly rate (met overtime rule-must physically work 40hrs) CLLBK- overtime pay at 1.5 regardless whether physically worked 40hrs (to be used when employees are on standby and are called back) CMPT- comp time worked hour for hour COMPE- comp time worked hours at 1.5
