Instructions 9.1 If the actual holiday falls on the weekend, it will be observed on whatever day(s) are approved by City Council. 9.2 The system does not recognize Regular on the observed holiday because it is already pre- populated as a holiday in the system. 9.2.1 If an employee works on both the actual and city observed holiday, the system will not recognize Regular on the city observed holiday and will therefore not do anything with the time worked. 9.2.1.1 The employee will need to choose between the hours worked on the actual holiday or the hours worked on the city observed day; cannot receive credit for both. 9.2.1.2 If an employee works on the city observed holiday, an extra line should be inserted with the time worked and the Holiday Premium code should be used to receive time and a half for the hours worked.
