CHAKRAS : ENERGY CIRCLES

The praanayama (breath control) aided by vibrations of man- tra and naada can purify and activate the chakras and make the jeevi reach the goal of ultimate bliss. The basic procedure is to concentrate with breathing-in-through right nostril holding breath, and breathing out through left nostril. If this breath is also charged by effective mantras, which have been initiated by a guru, the effect is instantaneous. The mantra advocated as most effective is the Bala mantra-Eim, Kleem, Sau. Bala mantra at the Moolaadhaara source makes one aware of the 'I am operating' feeling. Vibrations by naada or music are most effective in activating chakras. Where there is rhythm, there is vibration; so music and bhajans automatically help by produ in~ and transmitting vibrations that cleanse inter- nally and remove all blockades. This opens up psychic chakras and makes a person aware of the inner life. The seven chakras are Moolaadhaara, Swadhishtana, Manipuraka, Anahata, Vishuddhi, Ajna and Sahasrara. The Ajna chakra has a lotus of two pet- als in vidyut varna (violet colour). Here one has to worship Paramaatma accompanied by Iccha shakli. __ yoga postures and
