APPENDIX Tab A – Recent Strategic Decisions

 September 2018: Development of the online certification application and training records management system in the Appian environment began. The new application will provide state regulatory personnel with a feature-rich tool with an intuitive user interface. Many of the limitations in the current Salesforce application will be addressed in this new platform. Launch of the new platform is scheduled for the first quarter of 2019.  February 2019: The new certification application launched on February 1, 2019. Development of enhancements will continue through 2019. At its February 2019 quarterly meeting, the Certification Committee, pursuant to its charter, selected the five mortgage certifications (CME, CSME, CMME, CMI, and CMEM) for the five-year review process.  April 2019: New credentials were approved by the CSBS Education Foundation Board of Trustees and the Certification Committee: Certified CSBS Instructor, Certified Examinations Trainer, and Certified Training Manager.  May 2019: The internal audit review team (IART) will hold its biennial meeting September 23-24 in Albuquerque, NM. The IART is charged with reviewing all aspects of the Examiner Certification Program, identifying opportunities for improvement, reviewing corrective actions taken, and other tasks. Four members of the Certification Committee, Marilyn Davis, Marty Lamb, Chuck Martier, and Nelson Cook, were reappointed to the Committee for an additional two year term.
