 PracƟse in small groups is effecƟve and reading aloud in small groups of 5‐6 pupils helps build confidence.  A thoughƞul introducƟon to a book can help pupils to arouse the interest of the listening group. Encourage pupils to spell out to the audience why they like their chosen book.  Encourage pupils to look up at the audience when reading their book as the assessor will be looking for regular eye contact.  Please see the Suggested Choices  secƟon for a list of recommended books.
