Adaptation is key. MKS believes in embracing change – and makes it easy. For example, Lincoln Drive Control with continuously controlled damping lets you select between 3 drive modes – Comfort, Normal or Sport – to match your driving style. And, because road surfaces are always fluctuating, the system reads inputs every 2 milliseconds, and then quickly adjusts to make sure your car and the road are in unison. Electric power-assisted steering gives the right amount of steering assistance for your driving situation. While Torque Vectoring Control automatically adjusts the speed between your front wheels for enhanced cornering and agility so you can adapt to your surroundings without missing a beat.

A mobile oasis.

Comfort zone. Take a seat inside MKS, and experience all it has to offer. Beginning with the multi contoured, cooled, leather-trimmed seats with Active Motion® that are designed to help relieve fatigue in your upper legs and lower back. 1 And, if you find enjoyment in the great outdoors, MKS gives you a bit of that too, with a dual-panel power moonroof 1 that brings a touch of the outside, in. It’s time to get comfortable.

Second nature. With MKS, parallel parking is easy thanks to active park assist. 1 Ultrasonic sensors measure open spaces and help find a parking spot as small as 1.2 times the length of your vehicle. Then, the system guides you into it while you control the brake, shifter and accelerator, helping to make parallel parking almost unparalleled.

BE AWARE. When you’re backing out of – or into – a parking spot or garage, the standard Reverse Sensing System uses sensors on the rear bumper and a warning sound to help alert you, while a rear view camera gives you a clear picture of what’s behind you. THINK AHEAD. The Forward Sensing System on MKS uses sensors on the front bumper to detect objects that are in front of you, and then sounds an audible tone if something is there. It’s just one more way we’re helping you stay ahead of it all.

A sense of awareness.

BE MINDFUL. Your MKS has features that are designed to help you see things that might otherwise be out of view. BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) 1,2 uses radar sensors to help you detect when a vehicle is in your blind spot, and then alerts you with a light in the corresponding sideview mirror. And cross-traffic alert 1,2 lets you know when a vehicle is crossing behind you as you slowly back out of a parking spot, and alerts you with a glowing icon in your sideview mirror and an alarm.

STAY THE COURSE. MKS can help you stay centered. The Lane-Keeping System 1,3 can alert you with a steering wheel vibration if it senses you drifting out of your lane, and can then apply steering wheel torque to help direct you to steer back into it. And the Driver Alert System displays a coffee cup icon in your gauge cluster if it detects that you need to take a break from driving.

BE PREPARED. Adaptive cruise control and collision warning with brake support 1,2 adjusts to fit your driving style. Using radar to constantly scan for slower vehicles in front of you, it can automatically change your speed to maintain your preset gap – and can even pre-charge the brakes to help prepare you for a sudden stop.
