Office Hours— We are open Monday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The office will be closed on Monday January 1 in observance of New Year’s and Monday January 15 in observance of Martin Luther King Day. As always, if you need assistance at other times, please don’t hesitate to call (846-3148) and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Budget Information— We will be working on the 2017–2018 Fiscal Year Budget during the next few months. Please keep in mind that if you would like something added to the municipal budget and ultimately entered on the Annual Town Meeting Warrant, you must submit a request to me in a timely manner. The first draft of the budget will be presented to the Board of Selectmen this month. All Budget Workshops will be posted on the town website. Call if you have questions. Fire Permits— Fire Permits are available at the Town Office when Gloria Brown is working. You can also get a fire permit online at www. maineburnpermit.com .

Dogs, Dogs, Dogs!— Dog tags are now available. If you do not license your dog before January 31 , there will be an additional $25 late fee. Please call if you have questions. Transfer StationHours— TheTransfer Station is open Wednesday and Friday from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 to 4:00 p.m. 2018 Shellfish Licenses— The Town of Chebeague Island will be conducting the sale of any Commercial License at 12:30 p.m. on Monday January 8, 2018, by the Town Clerk, at the Chebeague Island Town Office located at 192 North Road. Other licenses will be sold starting at noon on Monday January 8, 2018. All license applicants must supply positive identification and be present to sign the issued license. Volunteer Opportunities— We are still looking for two volunteers to serve on our Road Plan Committee. Please stop by the Town office for an application and a description of the committee’s tasks.
