CULTURE Inland Spain features an extraordinary selection of cultural attractions. There are spectacular monuments, museums and festivals which reflect the legacy left by all the cultures which have passed through this country.

SOME OF THE GREATEST MUSEUMS Along the Paseo del Arte in Madrid three of the most important museums in Europe are only metres apart. The Prado National Museum is one of the world's finest galleries. Inside you'll find treasures by masters like Velázquez, Rembrandt and Goya. The Thys- sen-Bornemisza National Museum is very near to El Prado. It houses works from some of the most important paint- ing schools in Western art. The collec-

tions include masterpieces by Dürer, Renoir and Kandinsky. The last stop on this incredible journey is at the Reina Sofía National Art Museum , one of the greatest museums in Europe with an in- credible collection of contemporary art.
