Kathy Marpe Game Operations Manager

Josh Lawrence Director of Jenny Craig Pavilion Josh Lawrence begins his fifth year as the Director of the Jenny Craig Pavilion. He came to USO after 7 years at UC San Diego, where his responsibili ties included managing the IUJ\{AC Arena. Josh's duties included coordinating all events, from athletic competition to th e presentation of concerts and special events, as well as maintenance througho ut the Sports

Kathy Marpe is in her second full -time seaso n as the department's Game Operations Manager. She will be responsible for all game-day operations, in– cluding supervision of security, parking, visiting teams, game-day staffing, scheduling of officials, and assistingJ CP staff with ticket– ing responsibilities. No stranger to the USO Athletic Family, Kathy was the Torero head women's basketball coach for 25 years until she retired from coaching in the spring of 2005. A two-time WCC Coach of the Year, Marpe won two West Coast Conference tournament titles (1993, 2000) with the team advancing to the NCAA's both seasons. She totaled 294 USD victories and 381 career collegiate wins.

Here at USO, Josh's responsibilities will include scheduling, staffing and all management aspects of the Jenny Craig Pa,·iLion. In this capacity he will manage the daily operations of the facility, including event management and marketing of the Pavilio n. Josh received hi s B.S. from UC San Diego in 1993 with a double major in Political Science and U.S. History. Josh and his wife, Lisa, reside in San Diego. Branda Cook Asst. Sarabeth Pollock Coor. of Athletic Academic Support Sarabeth Pollock begins her third year as the Coordinator of Athletic Academic Support for USO. She has worked as a tutor in the Athletic Department since the fall of 2001. She serves as the academic advisor for all sports except Football and Rowing. Her responsibilities include the super– vision o f the Study Hall and the

She works in coordination with the Director of the Pavilion to ensure smooch facility operation with a focus on student employee management and Liaison to other USD departments and vendors. Branda began her employment

Currently, the Academic Support Program employs over 25 tutors who repre– sent a variety of majors across campus, as well as over 12 mentors who are graduate students pursuing their masters degrees in USD 's Counseling Program. Sarabeth graduated from USO in 2002 in the Honors Program, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History. She speaks Spanish and French fluently. A Sch genera– tion San Diegan, she resides in Point Lorna with her family. In her spare time, Sarabeth enjoys working on her novel that she hopes co have published by the end of the year.

Branda is currently working toward her Masters o f Marine Sci– ence at USO. Stephane Rochet Dir. of Athletic Performance Training Stephane Rochet is in his

Keddy Saunders Coor. of Student Athlete Services Keddy Saunders begins his first year as the Coordina– tor of Scuclent-Athlete Services for USO. He coordinates the CHAMPS/ Life Skills program which promotes the personal development of student-athletes. Also, he is the academic advisor to footba ll, women's rowing and men's rowing.

first year as Director of Athletic Per– formance Training at USO. Prior to corning to USO, Rocher worked as an assistant strength coach at UCLA and at Indiana University and was a police officer in Newport Beach.

Rocher received his Master's in Sports Administration from the University of < lhio. In addition, he holds the USAW Level I certification, Russian kcttlcbell Certification and is a certified CrossFit Instructor.

Keddy is from nearby Horizon. He earned a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Real Estate from USO in 2003. A transfer from SDSU, he was a three-year mem– ber of the USO football team between 2000-2003. Saunders has worked for J.P. Morgan and Chase and Smith & Barney and decided to return to USO because he wanted to work with student-athletes.
