Land Registry Rules THE President and Messrs. Boyd, Bolger and Lynch were appointed as a sub-committee to assist Mr. Mayne, the Society's representative on the Rule-Making Committee, to deal with draft new rules under the Local Registration of Title Act.

Adjudication of Bankruptcy in England affecting Irish Land THE Council considered the report of a Com mittee on the legal position disclosed by the judgment of the Supreme Court in In re Reilly, a bankrupt in England (1942. I.R.41C), and the Secretary was directed to write to the Secretary of the Department of Justice drawing his atten tion to the matter and suggesting that it should be the subject of legislative action. Emergency Powers (No. 285) Order, 1943 THE Secretary reported lhat the Government had made an Emergency Powers (No. 285) Order, 1943, enabling the Council to direct that the period of service of an apprentice in the Defence Forces should be reckoned as time duly served under his Indentures of Apprenticeship. The Council considered and granted two applica tions received from apprentices, in the exercise of their discretion under the Order. 21
