LAW REPORTS THE Incorporated Council for Law Reporting desire to draw the attention of Solicitors to the fact that subscribers to the official Reports placing their orders at present can obtain unbound volumes of the back Reports at reduced terms. SOLICITORS' GOLFING SOCIETY THE Autumn Meeting- of the Society was held at the Grange Golf Club on the 23rd of Septem ber. The Law Society's Challenge Cup and the prize presented by the President of the Law Society were won by Master Kennedy. The Ryan Challenge Cup, limited to handicaps of- 13 and upwards, was won by P. R. Boyd, and the prize for the gross was won by J. H..McCarroll. Conditions permitting, the usual Spring Competition will be held next year. •Solicitors wishing to become Members of the Society should communicate with the Hon. Secretary. J. D. Rooney, Solicitor. MR. GERARD L. M. O'BRIEN, Solicitor, died on "28th September, 1043, at 41 Ashdale Road. Terenure. Mr. O'Brien served his apprenticeship to Mr. John T. Doyle, Dublin, was admitted a Solicitor in Trinity Sittings, 1929, and practised at 38 Parliament Street, Dublin, and subsequently at 33 Upper Ormond Quay and 22 Gilford Park, Sandymount.

LEGAL APPOINTMENTS MR. JAMES A. ENXIS has been appointed County Registrar for Offaly. Mr. Ennis was admitted in Easter Sittings, 1925, and practised at Tullamore.

MR. DESMOND O'HAGAX has been appointed County Registrar for Louth. Mr. O'Hagan was admitted in Trinity Sittings, 1930, and practised at Dundalk.
