SOLICITORS' GOLFING SOCIETY. The Summer Meeting of the Society was held at Royal Dublin, on the 5th June. Notwithstanding the inclemency of the wea– ther there was a good turn out of members to compete for the Society's Challenge Cup and the Veterans Challenge Cup. The Society's Challenge Cup and the prize presented by the Captain Mr. P. R. Boyd to the Winner was won by Mr. Frank McKeever with the excellent score of 69 off a handicap of 8. The prize for the runner up was won by Mr. Frank Farrell of Ballymahon with the score of 75 (14)'. The Veterans Challenge Cup was won by Mr. W. J. O'Reilly of the Land Commission with the score of 81 (12). The Prize for the best gross was won by Mr. Sam Roche of Carlow with the score of 85 and the Prize for the best second nine by Mr. Maurice Horan, Dublin with the score of 34 (12). The Competition was followed by a Dinner in the Club House at which the Captain presided. Any Solicitor who wishes to compete at the autumn meeting and did not receive a notice of this meeting is requested to communicate with the Hon. Sec., J. D.
