It was resolved to call a special private meeting of the members of the Society to consider and approve of the Bill, and such a meeting will be summoned to meet in the Hall of the Society at the Four Courts on Tuesday, the 30th day of September, 1941, at half-past twelve o'clock, p.m. A re-print of the Bill as adopted by the Council has been sent in advance to the Secretary of each of the Sessional Bar Associations and copies of such re-print are in the Library, and can be obtained on loan, but not by post, in the month of September returnable before the day of the meeting. EXAMINATIONS. October, 1941. A Final Examination will be held upon Monday and Tuesday, the 6th and 7th days of October. Notice of intention to attend the examination should be lodged in the Secretary's Office before the 15th September. A. " First Examination " in Irish will be held upon Friday the 3rd day of October. Notice of intention to attend the examination should be lodged in the Secretary's Office before the 12th September. A " Second Examination " in Irish will be held upon Friday and Saturday, the 3rd and 4th days of October. Notice of intention to attend the examination should be lodged 'in the Secretary's Office before the 12th September. An Intermediate Examination will be held upon Wednesday, the 1st day of October. Notice of intention to attend the examination should be lodged in the Secretary's Office before the 10th September. A Preliminary Examination will be held upon Wednesday and Thursday, the 8th and 9th days of October. Notice of intention to attend the examination should be lodged in the Secretary's Office before the 17th September.

MICHAELMAS SITTINGS LECTURES, 1941. Junior Lectures (which will be held upon Mondays and Thursdays and will be twelve in number) will begin upon Monday, the 13th October, 1941, at 2.15 p.m. in the Solicitors' Buildings, Four Courts. Notice of intention to attend and fee of three guineas should be lodged in the Secretary's Office before the 27th September. Senior Lectures (which will be held upon Tuesdays and Fridays and will be twelve in number) will begin upon Tuesday the 14th October, 1941, at 2.15 p.m. in the Solicitor's Buildings, Four Courts. Notice of intention to attend and fee of three guineas should be lodged in the Secretary's Office before the 27th September. OBITUARY. MR. JAMES ROBINSON, Solicitor, died on the 2nd July, 1941, in Dublin. Mr. Robinson served his apprenticeship with his father, the late Mr. Archibald Robinson, Dublin, and subsequently with his brother, the late Mr. Archibald Robinson, Junr., Dublin, was admitted in Michaelmas Sittings, 1890, and practised under the style of A. & J. Robinson, at 119 St. Stephen's Green, Dublin. He was appointed General Solicitor for Lunatics in 1918. MR. JOHN CHARLES O'CoNNOR, Solicitor, died on 17th July, 1941, at his residence, St. John's, Dalkey. Mr. O'Connor served his apprenticeship with his father, the late John T. O'Connor, Dublin, was admitted in Hilary Sittings, 1901, and practised at 21 Anglesea Street, Dublin, up to the year 1911, when he went to the Solicitors' Department, Congested Districts Board, where he was up to the year 1929, when he retired. MR. PATRICK J. GALLERY, Solicitor, died on 31st July, 1941, at his residence, St. Anne's, Clonakee, Elphin. Mr. Callery served his apprenticeship with Mr. Bartholomew J. Goff, Elphiri, was admitted in Michaelmas Sittings, 1921, and practised at Elphin, Co. Roscommon.
