MR. THOMAS F. FIGGIS, Solicitor, died on 20th February, 1942, at his residence, " Enderly," Dundrum, Co. Dublin. Mr. Figgis served his 'apprenticeship to the late Mr. Arthur L. Barlee, Dublin, was admitted in Trinity Sittings, 1896, and practised at 63 Dawson Street, Dublin, under the style of A. D. Kennedy and Figgis. MR. WILLIAM J. VERLIN, Solicitor, died on 26th February, 1942, at Ardrath, Youghal. Mr. Verlin was admitted a Solicitor in Hilary Term, 1874, and practised at Youghal up to the year 1922, when he retired.

MEETING OF THE COUNCIL.

26th February. Fifteen members present. Court of Examiners.

The Report of the Court of Examiners on the results of the " First " and " Second " Irish Examinations was submitted and adopted. The following resolution was passed and it was directed that a copy be forwarded to the Secretary, Department of Education : " The Council requests the Department of Education to make available at a reasonable price to the public a Glossary of legal and other technical terms in Irish as used in the Acts of the Oireachtas, and other official publications, the want of which is felt by the legal profession." OBITUARY MR. FRANCIS J. ANDERSOX, Solicitor, died on 9th February, 1942, at Armagh. Mr. Anderson served his apprenticeship to the late Mr. Samuel H. Monroe, Armagh, was admitted in Hilary Sittings, 1895, and practised in Armagh up to the year 1936, when he retired. Mr. Anderson was Crown Solicitor for Armagh from the year 1918 to the year 1928.
