1.6 All players eligible to play for a Club in League Matches shall be eligible to play in the Benevolent Fund Challenge Cup Competition. A player may only play for one Club in the competition during the season. 1.7 In the Premier Division Benevolent Fund Challenge Cup Competition and in Division 1 Benevolent Fund Challenge Cup Competition and in the Reserve Section Benevolent Fund Challenge Cup Competition the Clubs shall be drawn in pairs, the first Club of each pair drawn to have choice of ground for the tie. The Club winning the Final Tie shall hold the Cup for the ensuing year. All necessary byes shall be given in the first round. 1.8 When a Club, not having facilities enabling them to charge admission to their ground, is drawn to play at Home, the game (and any replay) must be played on their opponent’s ground. The Final Tie shall consist of one match only, which shall be played on a ground selected by the Management Committee. 1.9 The dates and kick-off times of all matches, including Replays, shall be fixed by the Management Committee and Ties shall be played as the Management Committee may determine. Each Club shall be notified of the draw by the Fixture Secretary in writing. 1.10 The duration of each Tie shall be ninety minutes and the interval at half time shall not exceed ten minutes. Half an hour of extra time shall be played in all matches, including Semi-Final Ties. Should play have extended beyond ninety minutes, but extra time not completed, the match shall be replayed on the ground of the away Club, or on such a ground as the Management Committee shall determine, unless the Away Club is found guilty of causing a late start, due to circumstances within their control. In the Final Tie, extra time shall be played in the first game and in any replay. In any match in which extra time may be played the time of kick-off shall be half an hour earlier. 1.11 The Club winning the Final Tie shall hold the Cup for the ensuing year, a bond in a form similar to that specified in League Rule 19 being required. 1.12 In all Ties, one third of the gross gate receipts shall be allotted to the League Benevolent Fund. The whole of the remainder, after match and travelling expenses have been deducted, shall also be paid to the League Benevolent Fund. Where a loss is incurred on the match, the loss shall be equally shared by the two Clubs. A statement of receipts shall be rendered and settlement made within seven days of the match and a copy shall be sent to the opposing Club within the same period. 1.13 Where the colours of the two competing Clubs are similar the Away Team must change unless the two Clubs mutually agree to some other arrangement. In the Final Tie, should the colours of the competing Clubs be similar, both Clubs must change unless mutually agreed otherwise. Goalkeepers must wear colours, which distinguish them from the players and Match Officials. 1.14 The minimum charges for all Benevolent Challenge Cup Ties shall be £2. 1.15 All communications must be addressed to The General Secretary of the Hellenic Football League who shall conduct the relevant correspondence of the competition. 45. HELLENIC VETERANS LEAGUE 1 The name of the Competition shall be the Hellenic Veterans League. 2 Except as specifically provided for in these Rules, the Rules of The Hellenic League shall apply to this Competition. 3 Application for Membership Clubs seeking membership or applying to retain membership of the League must submit completed application form to The Company Secretary at least fourteen days (14) prior to the Annual general Meeting. 4 Entry Fee and Annual Subscription - As shown in the Fees Tariff. 5 Player Registration All players must be over 35 years of age at the time of registration and must register on a Veterans Registration Form. A player may register for a different Hellenic League Club as well as a Veteran’s Club. A player registration will be charged, as shown in the Fees Tariff. 6 Playing of Matches All matches shall be of eighty (80) minutes duration, unless the two teams and Officials mutually agree sixty (60) minutes before the match commences. Over 40’s cup matches shall always be of sixty (60) minutes duration. 7 Kick-Off Time – see Rule 8.13. 8 Postponement – see Rule 8.4 9 Notifying Officials and Opponents - see Rule - 8.12.1
