The result: heart rate, blood pressure and stress levels immediately drop. Over the long term, pet and human interactions can lower cholesterol levels, fight depression and may even help protect against heart disease and stroke.” Do not forget pet waste stations, outdoor dog runs, and indoor washing facilities. Communication It is common knowledge that people generally retain a small portion of the information that is being delivered. It is important in any community to com- municate information several times and in several different ways: • Email • Newsletter • Bulletin Board • Website • Phone

Some suggestions include: • Start your community communica- tion by providing a calendar (email and hardcopy) of events and activ- ities planned for the month. This calendar should include any club or committee meetings.
