• Ideal projection geometry can be calculated given  projection angle  distances D (source-to-detector) and R (source-to-isocentre)

 3x4 projection matrix to map 2D detector (u,v) to (fixed) 3D patient (x,y,z) coordinate system

 used for voxel-driven backprojection
