Founded in 1873, Vietti winery is based in Castiglione Falletto in the Langhe area of Piedmont, with 84 acres spread over nearly all the key appellations, including Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera d’Asti and Barbera d’Alba. Vietti is a key part of Barolo history. Vietti winery was one of the first to select and vinify grapes from single vine- yards Crus - such as Brunate, Rocche and Villero.This was a radical concept at the time, but today virtually every vintner making Barolo and Barbaresco wines offers single vineyard or cru-designated wines. In 1990, Luca Currado joined the family business as winemaker. His innovative winemaking utilizes a unique combination of the modern and traditional.
