JULY DRAFT FINAL FINAL 2018-min
From the Manager s Desk
Hello everyone, This time of year we can consider ourselves lucky for living in such a lovely climate that even in the middle of winter the days are still pleasant enough to allow us all to get out and about. I’m sure many in colder regions are envious of our moderate winters. If the season is keeping you indoors more than you’d like, remember the Bayway Village Activity Centre is there for all residents to enjoy. It has heating and it’s a nice warm place on cold days to make a hot drink and read a book or catch up with friends. Another opportunity to get out and about is the Mid-Year Bayway Village Market Day on Saturday 28 th July . Our market days are such a great way to get out and have a lovely get-together with other residents and friends. It all kicks off at 8.30am, so pop down early and have a great day. Quite a few changes have occurred over the past month with some of the smaller vans being moved and sites being cleared for new homes. At the same time as pitching in to help settle the new homes in, the groundsmen have been soldiering on through rain and cold to keep the village running smoothly. Well done to Helen Nash and the generous work of her committee involved in the hosting of ‘ The Biggest Morning Tea’ last month on June 2 nd . Hampshire was pleased to offer support with a $300 donation to such a worthy cause. Don’t forget school holidays start 7 th July, through to the 24 th July, so please be mindful that we may have a few more children than usual around and remember to stick to the 10km speed limit. Please be thoughtful of the need to check safety of heaters and electric blankets over the cooler months.
Have a great time on Market Day Peter and all the Bayway Team
