DESCRIPTION AND BENEFITS OF THE PROJECT These projects aim at increasing the cross-border capacity of the connection with Italy and adjusting the operating parametres to the ones of the Italian transmission system. - The first phase comprises the FID project of the reconstruction of the Border metering station (for reverse flow), to be commissioned in 2014. - The second phase comprises a non-FID project, the extension of the C/S at Ajdovščina for the increase of capacity of the existing pipeline to Italy, planned to be commissioned in 2016. - The third phase comprises the non-FID project of the pipeline increasing the capacity of the existing M3 pipeline to Italy on the section from Ajdovščina to šempeter looping between Ajdovščina and Šempeter, planned to be commissioned in 2023.
