The Hi gh Court Add i t i onal Long Vaca t i on S i t t i ngs In addition to the above-mentioned fortnightly Vacation sittings, the Vacation Judge will be available in the Four Courts each day between the hours of 11 o'clock and 1 o'clock, but only if required to sit for a matter in which considerable urgency can be shown. No t i ce Practitioners should note that ex- cept for strong reasons which are acceptable to the Court, Motions will not be adjourned to the last Motion day of this term. Long Vaca t i on 1 9 87 The several offices of the High Court and Supreme Court are open for public business during the Long Vacation from 10.30 o'clock in the forenoon to 1 o'clock in the after- noon on Monday to Friday (inclusive) in each week (except Monday, 3rd August). The offices of the Accountant of the Courts of Justice in common

with other offices is open for public business at the above mentioned times and lodgment schedules and payment schedules may be filed there throughout the Long Vacation. Privities for lodgment may be bespoken and lodgments made throughout the Long Vacation and monies lodged will be invested by the Accountant. Payments pursuant to directions in payment schedules will be made during the Long Vacation provided that the payment schedule is filed in the Accountant's Office not later than 1 o 'dock in the afternoon of Friday, 21st August, 1987. Directions for payment contain- ed in payment schedules filed in the Accountant's Office from Mon- day, 24th September, 1987, will not be acted upon during that period. Consequently there will be arrears outstanding when full activity is resumed on Monday, 28th September, 1987, and the dis- charge of such arrears will take several weeks. •

Di s t r i ct Court Civil Proceed i ngs (1) It would expedite the order of business if at least one week's notice would be given of ap- plications for adjournments, so as not to waste court time. (2) Coun t e r c l a ims should be lodged at least four days before the hearing of any case and the relevant serial number (as shown on Civil Process) is to be quoted on said counter- claims. (3) Consents to g r an t i ng of Decrees should be in writing or by appearance in Court. (4) Spare copies of cor- respondence, professional reports, maps, etc., should be handed in to Court for perusal by the Judge at the hearing. Oliver A. Macklin, President of the District Court. The Hi gh Court The Books of the Account of this Court will be closed from Monday, 24th August to Friday, 25th Sept- ember, for the purpose of enabling the Accountant to balance the various accounts of suitors. Lodge- ments may be made during the period and the Accountant will in- vest money pursuant to Orders of the Court. The Hi gh Court S i t t i ng Du r i ng t he Long Vaca t i on During the Long Vacation, t wo Vacation Judges will sit at the Four Courts on Wednesday, the 12th day of August; on Wednesday, the 26th day of August; on Wednes- day, the 9th day of September and Wednesday, the 23rd day of September.
