Welcome aboard, and welcome to the world of Million Air! Have you ever had dinner at a gourmet restaurant, or stayed at a luxury hotel, and the visit was truly an experience — but defining why it differed from the typical was difficult to explain? Just about everyone I know has had an experience like this, and often it’s the culture of an organization that creates this unique feeling. Every organization has a culture of some kind, whether or not it is managed, defined, or taught to employees. Our incredible pilots and aircraft owners give us a great deal of input and guidance in designing the services we offer and the very style in which we greet every aircraft. For example, our 'Blue Angels' inspired hand signals. Pilots from across the country call me every day to emphasize how professional our staff appear, and how that professionalism directly reflects on the passengers in the back of their aircraft. This, in turn, helps to make the family vacation more memorable, the trip extra special, and the environment for executives more conducive to business. I am told over and over again that we are a direct reflection on the reputation and mood of the passengers on every flight. We take that responsibility very seriously! Every interaction with a customer or coworker should return to the fundamental basics of the culture, in the case of Million Air, this is our credo that each and every one of the more than 1,200 employees lives by every single day. The Million Air credo is ingrained into our very nature, in a way that takes no effort or forethought because it is natural, a way of life. How is this possible with locations spread across the United States, Canada, China and the Caribbean? Through a defined quality selection process in which hiring for attitude is key, and each and every person within the organization is a valuable asset because of the talents they possess. As Lawrence Miller once said, “Excellence is not an accomplishment.
