2019 Promotional Calendar The 2019 promotional calendar is pasted below. At the Fancy Food show in January, CMAB and our promotional agency, Ignite2X, met with our processors to communicate our programs and where relevant pitch the case for co-op funding of marketing efforts. We will be kicking off the year with a national Ibotta program for Hispanic cheese during Lent. We are working on planning June Dairy Month activities as well as a repeat of last year’s Disney Promotion during their California Food and Wine Festival. New this year is that Disney is placing us near the Wine Institute Stand where we will also be showcasing the great pairing of California wine and California cheese.

Retail Highlights The “California Cheese Month” concept is spreading amongst retailers. For 2019, we will be supporting this month-long event in February for Hy-Vee (leading Midwest retailer), in May for Publix (leading Southeast retailer), and in July for H-E-B (leading Texas retailer). We are excited to be working more closely with retailer personnel and plan to layer in our tabletop show concept in effort to increase each retailer’s product offering. We began discussions with Costco about doing a California Cheese Road Show to showcase 3-5 brands of California cheese with the goal of creating a more robust in-store display and to further merit additional items being added to the existing set.

Bob Constantino is working on plans for major new accounts, Giant Eagle, Ahold, and Fresh Market “table top” presentations of California cheese makers.
